Finn is born!

Yesterday we received the great news that our nephew, Finn, was born to C & K at 7 am! He was a little reluctant to join us, at just over 41 weeks, but we're glad that both he and mom are safe. At 10lb, 6oz, he made the doctors a little nervous that there might be issues, but they obviously aren't used to dealing with women of our family, as that's an average-sized baby. Though in Kenya, we got the news about an hour after the fact, and were able to call Dad from our cell phone. C sounded a little tired, but very happy that things went well. I'm really proud of my big sister! Before we left, C and K asked us to be Godparents for Finn, so we're honored to come home next spring to do that for the little / big guy.

    this has nothing to do with this post, but i need help! max, didnt you chip your teeth in college? tonight someone hit me as i was taking adrink from a botle and they knocked into my front teeth, which are now shattered. can you please tell me this is fixable, and if it's fixable, how? please advise! the only nightmare ive ever had is about my teeth falling out, so this is not fun. thank you!

    Good heavens! Ten pounds plus! C, you are an unbelievable trouper! See, in our family, babies are between 6 and 7 pounds, so your news is a shocker! So very glad that everything is wonderful and you have such a special set of God-parents!

    What a complete miracle babies are! Thank you for sharing this wonderful moment!
